Music FUNdamentals
Young Aspiring Singers
Music FUNdamentals is a welcoming, non-auditioned program for children aged five and up who are eager to explore the world of music through singing and movement. In this group, young singers build a strong foundation in rhythm and pitch through musical games and folk songs. Students learn the basics of vocal technique, ear training, and group singing—developing both confidence and musical awareness. Music Fundamentals is the perfect first step for children beginning their musical journey.
Meeting every Wednesday 3:15 to 4:00
Crescendo Singers
Developing Voices in Harmony
Crescendo Singers is an auditioned, intermediate-level group for young vocalists who are ready to grow beyond the basics. Designed for singers in that in-between stage, this ensemble continues work in the Kodaly system to further their understanding of rhythm and pitch. In this ensemble, there is a greater focus on developing vocal technique, blending, and musical phrasing while preparing a wide variety of music for performance. With more focused rehearsals and layered vocal parts, Crescendo Singers offers a supportive next step on the path to advanced choral singing.
Meeting every Wednesday 4:00 to 4:55
Voca Loca
Dedicated Teen Vocalists
Voca Loca is our most advanced ensemble—an auditioned group for dedicated teen singers ready to take their skills to the next level. Members of this ensemble are expected to bring focus, energy, and a love of vocal performance to each rehearsal. In addition to refining blend, tone, and dynamic control, singers in Voca Loca will be reading music off the page, developing the literacy and confidence needed for high-level ensemble work. With more challenging repertoire in multiple languages and a fast-paced rehearsal environment, Voca Loca offers committed young vocalists a place to connect meaningfully with fellow aspiring musicians.
Meeting every Wednesday 5:00 to 6:00
